Zirconia Ceramic Plunger Head Product Introduction:

1. Zirconia ceramic plungers are precision industrial components made from high-performance engineering ceramics (such as zirconia), possessing characteristics such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. They are assembled using techniques such as ceramic-metal bonding, welding, inlaying, and sleeving, and are typically used in reciprocating motion sealing or conveying systems under high pressure, high wear, or highly corrosive environments.

2. Zirconia ceramic is currently a very important structural ceramic in the field of structural ceramic applications, second only to alumina ceramic. This is due to its excellent fracture toughness, high flexural strength and hardness, and excellent polishing properties.


Performance Characteristics

1. Ultra-high hardness: Zirconia hardness ≥ 9 Mohs (approaching diamond), with a hardness of HRA 82-85, which is more than 30% higher than quenched steel (HRA 60-65).

2. Wear resistance: The service life is 5-10 times that of metal plungers, and the mass loss rate after immersion in 10% hydrochloric acid (25℃) for 30 days is <0.01%.

3. Corrosion resistance: It can resist strong acids, strong bases, and organic solvents.  The corrosion rate of 316L stainless steel under the same conditions is 0.5 mm/year.

4. Thermal stability: It can maintain stable physical and chemical properties at high temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature working conditions.

5. Precision machining performance: Through diamond grinding wheel grinding + laser polishing process, the roundness error of the shaft core can be ≤0.005mm, and the surface finish can reach a mirror-like effect.
