Outer Diameter (mm): Common sizes include 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 20mm, 35mm, 43mm, 45mm, 60mm, and 80mm. 6mm–10mm are mostly used for high-pressure precision sandblasting, while 20mm–80mm are mostly used for large equipment or high-abrasion environments.
Inner Diameter (mm): Typically between 0.3mm and 90mm. High-pressure nozzles usually have an inner diameter of 0.3mm–1.0mm, while conventional sandblasting nozzles usually have an inner diameter of 2mm–10mm.
Length (mm): Common lengths are 20mm, 30mm, 35mm, 45mm, 60mm, and 80mm.
Silicon nitride blasting nozzles are highly wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant ceramic blasting nozzles, commonly used in industrial sandblasting and surface treatment. They possess excellent corrosion resistance and insulation properties, making them suitable for high-pressure sandblasting operations.
Silicon nitride is an advanced structural ceramic material, and sandblasting nozzles made from it possess the following characteristics:
1. High hardness and wear resistance: Silicon nitride has a Vickers hardness of 1400-1800 HV, second only to boron carbide and diamond. Under continuous high-speed abrasive impact, its wear rate is far lower than that of common tungsten carbide, alumina ceramics, and even silicon carbide nozzles, making it particularly suitable for long-term, high-intensity sandblasting operations, such as rust removal from ships and large steel structures, and mold cleaning.
2. Excellent thermal shock resistance and high-temperature stability: Silicon nitride has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity, allowing it to withstand drastic temperature changes without cracking. This makes it suitable for applications with high working temperatures or where the abrasive (such as cast steel grit or brown corundum) itself is at a high temperature.
3. Good mechanical strength and toughness: Its fracture toughness and bending strength are outstanding among ceramic materials, effectively resisting impact and brittle fracture, extending the service life of the nozzle under discontinuous, impact-prone conditions.
4. Good chemical stability: It has good corrosion resistance to most acids, alkalis and molten metals, and has a wide range of applications.
Application scenarios:
Widely used in industrial fields such as sandblasting machines, shot blasting machines, desulfurization spraying, dispensing equipment, and high-pressure cleaning.
