FAQ

Ⅰ.Zirconia Ceramic Ball Product Introduction:

Zirconia ceramic balls are industrial grinding media made from zirconia (ZrO₂) as the base material. They possess high density, high hardness, and excellent wear resistance. Their main component is yttria-stabilized zirconia (Y-TZP), and through yttria stabilization treatment, the critical stress value for crystal phase transformation can be increased to over 900 MPa.

Ⅱ.Main Uses and Application Fields

Grinding and Polishing: Used for polishing and deburring the surface of metal workpieces such as stainless steel, and for ultra-fine grinding of materials such as inks and coatings.

Industrial Processing: Sandblasting for rust removal, high-precision bearing balls, valve balls, and other precision components.

Coatings and Pigments Industry: Ensures uniform dispersion and high gloss of pigments.

Ceramics and Electronic Materials: Grinding of high-hardness ceramic powders and electronic materials.

Pharmaceutical Industry: Grinding of drug particles to ensure uniform dispersion and high purity of pharmaceuticals.

Biomedical Applications: Used in medical devices such as artificial joints.

Ⅲ.Product Features and Advantages

1. Physical Properties:

High density (>6.0 g/cm³) and high hardness (Mohs hardness 9).

Excellent high-temperature resistance, up to 2200℃.

Low thermal conductivity (3 W/m·K) and high compressive strength (80 MPa).

2. Grinding Performance:

Wear rate is 70% lower than that of alumina media.

Good chemical stability, suitable for grinding requiring "zero pollution".

Flexural modulus of 8.0 MPa·m¹/², good impact resistance.

3. Chemical Properties:

It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to most acids, bases, and salts.

After soaking in 10% hydrochloric acid for 30 days, the weight loss is less than 0.01g.

The surface is resistant to material adhesion, preventing clogging problems.

4. Special Functions:

Low dielectric constant (10-30), does not shield 5G millimeter wave signals.

Oxygen ion conductivity, suitable for solid oxide fuel cells.

Excellent biocompatibility, suitable for medical implants.
