Product Introduction of Silicon Nitride Ceramic Threaded Inserts

Silicon nitride ceramic threaded inserts are threaded fasteners made from silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) material.  Their basic structural unit is the [Si₃N₄] tetrahedron, forming a three-dimensional network structure. This structure gives the material extremely high intrinsic strength and toughness.


Product Features and Advantages

1. Mechanical Properties:

High Strength: Bending strength can reach over 800 MPa, Vickers hardness 2200.

High Toughness: Effectively resists impact and fatigue.

Wear Resistance: Hardness is second only to diamond, and the wear rate is only 1/10 of traditional metal materials.

2. Thermal Properties:

High Temperature Resistance: Oxidation starting temperature is 1300~1400℃, and can reach 1400℃ in a protective atmosphere.

Low Thermal Expansion: Coefficient is only 2.8~3.2×10⁻⁶/℃.

Thermal Shock Resistance: Can withstand rapid temperature changes from 1000℃ to cold water.

3. Chemical Properties:

Corrosion Resistance: Except for hydrofluoric acid, it can withstand most inorganic acids and sodium hydroxide solutions below 30%.

Self-lubricating: Friction coefficient 0.02-0.1.
