Ⅰ.
Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic cage product introduction:
Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic cage is a key component in the bearing structure used to guide and regulate the movement path of the rolling elements. It is made of high-purity silicon carbide ceramic material and has an excellent combination of physical and chemical properties. It is especially suitable for extreme working conditions such as high temperature, high speed, and high corrosion.
Ⅱ.
Technical parameters and performance characteristics
1. Physical properties:
Hardness: Mohs hardness 9.5, Vickers hardness 2800-3200HV, second only to diamond. Mechanical strength: bending strength 400-600 MPa, compressive strength more than 2000 MPa.
Thermal properties: thermal conductivity 120-200 W/m·K, thermal expansion coefficient 4.5×10⁻⁶/℃.
Temperature resistance: The melting point is as high as 2700℃, and the long-term use temperature in the air can reach 1600℃.
2. Chemical properties:
Strong chemical inertness, resistant to acid, alkali, solvent and molten metal corrosion. Extremely low intrinsic vapor pressure in vacuum environment, no outgassing.
It has excellent resistance to corrosive gases such as H₂S and SO₂.
3. Other advantages:
Low density (3.21 g/cm³), reducing the mass of moving parts.
The friction coefficient is low (dry friction is about 0.2-0.3) and the self-lubricating performance is excellent.
Excellent thermal shock resistance (ΔT>800℃), able to withstand rapid temperature changes.
Ⅲ.
Application fields
Silicon carbide ceramic cages are widely used in the following high-end fields:
1. Aerospace: aerospace engine bearings, high-speed turbines and other high-temperature and high-speed components.
2. Nuclear industry: nuclear reactor fuel cladding tubes, nuclear waste containers and other radiation-resistant components.
3. Semiconductor manufacturing: precision components such as grinding discs and fixtures in wafer processing equipment.
4. Chemical machinery: sealing rings, corrosion-resistant bearings, etc. in pump and valve equipment.
5. New energy vehicles: high-temperature working environments such as motor bearings.
