Zirconia ceramic (ZrO₂) is an ideal material for high-precision components due to its excellent physical and mechanical properties:

1. Ultra-high hardness and wear resistance: Mohs hardness reaches 9.0-9.5 (second only to diamond), Vickers hardness HV 1200-1500, and wear resistance far exceeds that of metals, extending service life by 5-10 times.

2. Excellent mechanical strength: Bending strength up to 750-1200 MPa, fracture toughness up to 6-15 MPa·m¹/², and crack propagation is inhibited through a phase transformation toughening mechanism (tetragonal phase → monoclinic phase).
