Silicon carbide ceramic valve core and sleeve

Silicon carbide ceramic valve core and sleeve

Corrosion Resistance: Extremely resistant to strong acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and nitric acid (except hydrofluoric acid) and strong bases.

Wear Resistance: Hardness up to HV0.5 ≥ 2600, wear resistance is approximately 7-9 times that of metal materials.

High Temperature Stability: Long-term operating temperature can reach 1600℃, and instantaneous temperature resistance can reach 1800℃.

Self-Lubricating Properties: Low friction coefficient of 0.1-0.2, reducing opening and closing torque.

High Sealing Performance: Surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.1 μm, achieving zero leakage sealing.

Long Service Life: Under harsh working conditions, the service life can be more than 5 times that of metal valves.

Lightweight Design: Density is only 3.1-3.2 g/cm³, reducing weight by approximately 60% compared to metal valve seats.

Introduction to Silicon Carbide Ceramic Valve Core and Valve Seat Products

Silicon carbide ceramic valve cores and valve seats are core components of industrial valves made from high-purity silicon carbide (SiC) material, primarily used in corrosive media transportation systems.  The product consists of a valve core body and a valve core head. The outer diameter of the valve core body is typically less than 200mm, and the outer diameter of the valve core head is greater than 10mm, with an outer diameter ratio of 1.5 to 3. The main components include:

1. Valve core body: The core component that withstands the main mechanical stress.

2. Valve core head: The key part that cooperates with the valve seat to achieve sealing.

3. Sealing surface: Precisely machined to a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.1μm.

4. Matching valve seat: A sleeve-like structure that precisely fits with the valve core.

Machining Accuracy

1. Surface roughness: Ra ≤ 0.1 μm.

2. Straightness/Roundness/Coaxiality: ≤ 0.005 mm.

3. Flatness/Parallelism/Perpendicularity: ≤ 0.005 mm.

Application Fields and Industries

Silicon carbide ceramic valve cores and sleeves are primarily used in the following industries and applications:

1. Chemical industry: Transportation systems for corrosive media such as strong acids and bases.

2. Petroleum industry: Pipeline control for fluids containing solid particles or highly corrosive fluids.

3. Power industry: Flue gas desulfurization systems in thermal power plants.

4. Metallurgy: High-temperature molten metal processing equipment.

5. Wastewater treatment: Fluid control for fluids containing abrasive particles.

6. Pharmaceutical industry: High-purity fluid transportation systems.

7. Semiconductor manufacturing: Ultrapure chemical transportation systems.
