Incorrect installation will cause surface damage and precision loss of silicon nitride balls. Standardized installation steps can avoid artificial damage and give full play to the performance advantages of ceramic bearings. This article summarizes the universal installation guidelines for silicon nitride ball bearings.

Before installation, inspect the appearance of bearings and accessories. Check whether silicon nitride balls have scratches and cracks, and confirm whether the tolerance of inner and outer rings meets the standard. Unqualified accessories are prohibited from installation.

Keep the installation environment clean. Dust and hard particles will scratch the smooth surface of ceramic balls. Installation must be carried out in dust-free workshop, and tools need to be cleaned and dedusted in advance.

Adopt cold pressing installation method. It is forbidden to knock the bearing with hard tools. External impact will cause hidden cracks inside the ceramic balls. Low-temperature shrinkage cold pressing ensures uniform stress installation.

Control installation clearance reasonably. Excessively large clearance causes bearing jitter; excessively small clearance leads to rolling stuck. According to the precision grade, reserve standard assembly clearance.

Add lubricant after installation. Inject matched lubricating oil evenly into the bearing gap to form a complete oil film. Test run at low speed for 5 to 10 minutes to confirm smooth rotation without abnormal noise.
