FAQ

99.5% alumina ceramic (also known as 995 ceramic) is a high-performance ceramic material with the following characteristics and applications:

Material Characteristics

1. High Purity: Alumina content reaches 99.5%, with very few impurities, possessing excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties.

2. Physical Properties: Mohs hardness of 9 (close to diamond), smooth and non-porous surface, density ≥ 3.7 g/cm³, bending strength ≥ 300 MPa.

3. High Temperature Resistance: Can withstand high temperatures of 1350℃ for extended periods, suitable for high-temperature working conditions.

4. Electrical Properties: Excellent high-frequency insulation performance, dielectric strength ≥ 18 kV/mm, volume resistivity ≥ 1 × 10¹³ Ω·cm.

Product Forms and Uses

1. Alumina Ceramic Rings/Rods: Primarily used in mechanical seals, wear-resistant components (such as bearings, water valve plates), and electronic insulation devices.

2. Industrial Applications: Suitable for power electronic devices, vacuum switch tubes, aerospace engineering (such as sealing rings), and other applications requiring high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Process and Customization

1. Forming Technology: Using isostatic pressing, dry pressing, or hot pressing processes, dimensional accuracy can reach ±0.1 mm, supporting customization of complex shapes.

2. Surface Treatment: Metallization process can be used to achieve sealed connections with metal parts, meeting high-precision requirements.

Market Product Examples

1. Solid Alumina Rods: Diameters up to 100 mm, offering 95%, 99.35%, and high-purity alumina options, with a fine and hard surface.

2. Alumina Ceramic Rings: High-frequency insulating ceramic rings, supporting precision machining and customi
